The 24/25 away jersey is entirely centered around the motto “Borussia connects.” Therefore, this inscription on the black jersey with its yellow chest area is visible not only in writing, but also in sign language and Braille, and it can also be felt tactically on the collar. BVB founding father Franz Jacobi once said: “The quality of a football club is demonstrated by how it fulfills its social responsibilities.” With the motto “Borussia connects,” BVB aims to repeatedly uphold this commitment through various initiatives. The jersey represents the diversity of the club and its ongoing efforts against racism, antisemitism, LGBTIQ* phobia, sexism, and discrimination in order to promote an open society. As part of the “RE:FIBRE” process, the supplier used recycled polyester in the material composition of the away jersey. With the help of new technologies, new fabric is produced from unused polyester and is now being used in the jerseys.
